The song is a blend of reggaeton and pop music did not just bring interest in reggaeton but also drew interest towards Latin music generally. The Billboard Top 100 had four songs mainly in Spanish in 2016, compared to two in 2015. In the midst of Despacito's fame in 2017 there were 19 mainly Spanish songs that were included in the top 100. In 2020, it was 41. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito was released in 2017. Then, numerous famous artists began collaborating with reggaeton artists. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny for MIA (2018), and Madonna was a part of Maluma for the release of Medellin. The gradual mainstreaming of reggaeton became an issue for some artists in 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, were keen to keep the look. The genre often incorporated electronic dance as well as different styles.
