Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to an ethnically diverse family from South London. She is English as well as her father was Nigerian. She grew up in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned the BA in acting. During her time at the academy, she appeared in several stage productions such as the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress through the film Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut was the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After that her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi character on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in theatre includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe officially made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes on The CW, and was then removed from the air. The actress was selected in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes in the series' initial two seasons as an regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will leave the show after her guest appearance on the premiere episode of its third season. In the television series Salem the actress played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's sports brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey in the winter. Ashley could never walk, but she danced. As she was two and a half, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. Ashley began to be a dancer following this. When she was in High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics lyrical, musical theatre and hip hop. All of the important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the title "top individualist".
