Ford's albums were not very well-received, and so she went under the radar for a couple of years. The hit album Lita which came out in 1989, served as the catalyst that led to her reemergence. the single "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. She disappeared from the industry for a couple of years following her brief commercial success. In 1995, she released 'Black and then a couple of years after that, "Wicked Wonderland", she re-emerged. In 2016, her most recent album, 'Time Capsule' it was released. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
